For cars, motorbikes and campers

Every road,every stop,every night.

Roadlet quietly records your route with the screen off, asks what each stop was, and turns the whole trip into something your crew will want to relive.

  • Private to your crew
  • Free essentials, no ads

How it works

Hit record. Drive. Everything else takes care of itself.

  1. 1

    Record

Tap start and put the phone away. Roadlet follows the road with the screen off, even where there's no signal.

  2. 2

    Stop

Every time you pull over, Roadlet notices and asks what it was. Add the place, a photo or what it cost — now or weeks later.

  3. 3

    Share

Your crew sees it all as it happens. When you're home, turn the trip into a Story, a replay video or a GPX to keep forever.

Features

Built for the whole trip, not just the drive.

Navigation apps get you there. Roadlet remembers how it went — and keeps everyone on the same page along the way.

  • Automatic stop detection

Pull over and Roadlet notices. One tap later tells it what it was: coffee, fuel, restroom, food, a night's sleep, a viewpoint.

  • Convoy

See your crew live on the map and send one-tap signals: need a break, need fuel, fell behind, all good, emergency.

  • Plan with your crew

Invite friends as editors or viewers, pin planned stops, split the route into days and get warned when a stretch outruns your fuel range.

  • Recaps made for Stories

Instagram-ready Story cards, an animated replay of the route, and your Year in Roads when the year wraps up. Plus unlocks every template and HD video.

  • Shared expenses

Log who paid for fuel, dinner or the campsite. Roadlet works out who owes whom — no spreadsheet required.

  • Recommendations from real stops

Suggestions only come from places other travelers actually stopped at, verified by their tracks. No paid listings, no fake reviews.

  • Plus: Included in Roadlet Plus

    Crash Check

For riders: a hard impact followed by stillness starts a countdown. If you don't cancel it, your crew gets your last position.

  • Works offline

Mountain passes and desert roads rarely have signal. Everything is saved on your phone and syncs when you're back in range.

  • CarPlay, Live Activity & Siri

Log a stop from the Dynamic Island, a widget, your car's screen, or just by asking Siri. Bring routes in from GPX, take them out as GPX or KML.

Whatever you travel in

Four wheels, two wheels, or a house on wheels.

  • Road trips

Coastal drives, weekend escapes, cross-country loops. Keep every detour and every coffee worth stopping for.

  • Motorcycle touring

Ride as a group with Convoy signals, find stops other riders rely on, and let Crash Check keep an eye out.

  • Vans & campers

Count the nights, log campsites, see what the trip really cost, and find where others actually slept.

Privacy

Your trips belong to your crew. Not to advertisers.

No ads, no trackers, no data brokers. Roadlet stores your trips to share them with the people you choose — nothing more.

Read the privacy policy
  • Private by default

A trip is only visible to the people you invite. Public links are optional, and you can turn them off at any time.

  • Anonymous, verified Spots

Recommendations come from stops shared without names or photos, and a place only shows up once at least two different trips stopped there.

  • Your data, your way out

Export any trip as GPX, KML or JSON whenever you like, and delete your account right from the app.

Why Roadlet

Made for the part other apps leave out.

Plenty of apps are great at directions or at planning. Roadlet is about the trip itself: the stops, the people and the story.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

More questions? Visit Support

Is Roadlet free?

Yes. Recording, stop detection, stops with photos and costs, planning with your crew, Convoy, export and a trip recap are free forever, with no ads. Roadlet Plus is an optional subscription for extra features.

What's free and what's Plus?

Free covers the whole trip: recording with the screen off, automatic stops, planning with your crew, live Convoy with signals, GPX, KML and JSON export and a basic recap. Roadlet Plus (€3.99 a month or €29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial) adds all recap templates, HD replay without watermark, day recaps, the full Year in Roads, Convoy for bigger crews, Explore along your whole route, Crash Check and advanced stats.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Roadlet Plus is billed by Apple, so you manage it in your App Store settings: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews and you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Your trips stay yours either way.

Does my crew need Plus?

No. Convoy basics, planning together and shared trips are free for everyone. Plus perks are per person: if you have Plus, you get your extras without anyone else having to pay.

Is it a navigation app?

No. Keep using Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze to get there. Roadlet runs alongside them and records what actually happened on the road, and every stop opens in your maps app.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. The route, stops and photos are saved on your phone and sync as soon as you're back online.

Who can see my trips?

Only your crew — the people you invite, each with a role. You can create a public link for a trip if you want to show it to others, and turn it off at any time.

Will it drain my battery?

Roadlet is designed to record for hours with the screen off. Like any app that uses GPS, it does use battery, so on long days a car charger is a good friend.

Does everyone in my crew need the same phone?

No. Roadlet records and runs Convoy on both iPhone and Android, so a mixed crew travels together. Anyone else can follow a shared trip from a web browser.

Can I bring my old routes?

Yes. Import GPX files from Garmin, Komoot or any GPS app — as trips you already drove or as plans — and export any trip as GPX, KML or JSON whenever you want.

What exactly is Crash Check?

An optional safety feature for riders, included in Roadlet Plus. After a hard impact followed by no movement, your phone starts a countdown. If you don't cancel it, your crew gets an alert with your last position and a message to your emergency contacts is ready to send. It never replaces calling emergency services.

The best part of a road trip is usually the stops.

Start keeping them. Free to download on iPhone and on Android.
